i wore this interview outfit to an especially corporate interview which also had to be fashionable (hence, no ann taylor loft … oh wait, that skirt is totally from there).
eskell bunny print blouse, ann taylor loft silk skirt (i bought it for my grandma’s funeral and thus it is forever tainted by association …), everpresent oxfords. i also wore the jacket in the previous post. it was all very aging.
there are all these random men in my apartment replacing our windows. it is horrible and i have to leave in an hour and a half for the most important interview yet. we have no idea why these windows needed to be replaced and this was supposed to happen tomorrow! the cat is hiding under the bed in terror, she hates banging and rustling noises and large strange men, so this is basically her nightmare since they covered everything with rustling plastic.
i am slowly catching up with these outfit posts. i’m wearing an eskell silk fox-print dress and those jeffrey campbell boots.
i was sad about this dress, it’s lovely fabric but the underdress is very poorly cut. however, i bought it on sale and they had just run out of stock, but they had their ny seamstresses run it up so i would still be able to get it. so that was very kind of them, and when it’s on i’m probably the only one who can see the construction issues.
i don’t know why i’m doing that weird thing with my hand.
networking tonight. ughhhhhhhhhhhh. i just want a job. that’s all i want. and i want my brain to come back and start working again.
should have said before, but these are all old outfits that i forgot to post at the time. today was freezing, despite what i said earlier about the weather being too warm for tights.
this is one of the tackiest things i have worn (maybe? i guess in recent memory but i have a higher threshold for tackiness than most people). rodarte for target denim shorts, celeste stein CAT TIGHTS (ONE OF THE CATS LOOKS LIKE MY CAT HOHOHO), leopard + gold stud oxfords from dolce vita.
i bought some cute socks so maybe you will see those soon. they have galaxies on them! i’m trying generally not to buy things but opening ceremony now has the (overpriced) tsumori chisato striped tights that i really want. :( it’s not gonna happen, but i keep LOOKING at them because i am a sucker. i actually have an interview on monday and a networking event (oh god, please kill me now, seriously, do it) tomorrow, so i need to buy an appropriate interview outfit this weekend. i have a boring and gross ann taylor loft interview outfit which is fine for some jobs but this is a sort of fashion-y job so i need something that is cuter and less horribly cut. someday i will buy a real suit, but it will be an AWESOME and SEXY marlene dietrich style suit, not the terrible abominations you see everywhere on the subway.
what tumblrs should i follow? i’m very bored today.

i got my first official job rejection this morning. i’m not all that surprised but it’s fairly annoying, especially because it was a really long and complex application and i just applied yesterday! damn them!
i loved this outfit, i felt very mod.

getting nervous and excited about my job situation. i’m looking forward to the free time, even if it’s also a bit scary.

very sleepy day today. i do have this chocolate pastry thing, but i’m hoarding it for later.
wearing vintage dress (it has a giant bow on it which i accidentally ripped off by rolling around on my bed, because i am real smart), black star fishnets from modcloth, and jeffrey campbell oxfords. i think i’ve had that dress for 3 or 4 years and this is the first time i wore it. i hate my bad habits.
fyi, if you guys ever get tired of tights/socks/shoes, my other tumblr is onlyimage and is basically a constant reblogging spam stream of stuff i like.
today - asos sheer heart suspender tights and jeffrey campbell chloe-ripoff boots. i love these boots and have them in black also. i have a sad jeffrey campbell fixation but it’s because most heels are agony for me to wear, and somehow they make shoes that fit me perfectly. granted, most of their shoes are incredibly repulsive … and i probably own all the worst ones.
i am not going to show you the suspender portion of the tights, i was a little worried about wearing them to work (too risque), but they were the only tights that matched. the pleated thing is a creepy pinafore from topshop, everyone at work made fun of it today. someone has to bring overalls back, right?
not a very exciting shoe or tight day, maybe tomorrow will be better. i hate monday.
today, the first day in nyc that felt like spring. tights are bebaroque russian-inspired collection, shoes are jeffrey campbell mesh see-through oxfords. bebaroque tights are expensive, but grab ‘em if you can get them on sale, they are worth the money!
