ughhh i’m going crazy today. i was supposed to hear back from a job yesterday, and i thought it was pretty likely i’d get it, but still haven’t heard back and no idea what that means. oh god.
i wore this to my big interview (not the same job as the one mentioned above). i won’t get that job since it had 1000 applicants, oh well. wearing zara striped blouse and skirt, uniqlo grey jersey blazer, h&m lucite necklace, and loeffler randall nude mesh oxfords.
also, it is fucking hot. i am going to get murderous. i would appreciate any form of distraction you can throw at me.
i wore this interview outfit to an especially corporate interview which also had to be fashionable (hence, no ann taylor loft … oh wait, that skirt is totally from there).
eskell bunny print blouse, ann taylor loft silk skirt (i bought it for my grandma’s funeral and thus it is forever tainted by association …), everpresent oxfords. i also wore the jacket in the previous post. it was all very aging.
there are all these random men in my apartment replacing our windows. it is horrible and i have to leave in an hour and a half for the most important interview yet. we have no idea why these windows needed to be replaced and this was supposed to happen tomorrow! the cat is hiding under the bed in terror, she hates banging and rustling noises and large strange men, so this is basically her nightmare since they covered everything with rustling plastic.
i really, really need to figure out how to take better pictures. i am pretty good at taking pictures of things which are not on a body or buildings or scenery, but i have never been good at taking pictures of myself or other people. apologies for the truly abysmal quality here.
this is my go-to interview outfit. i have a really boring horrible one which i use for the super corporate ones, but this is the one i use for more fashion-y jobs. zara floral tulip dress and zippered jacket with leather pockets. the dress reminds me so much of mary katrantzou. i will perhaps take a picture of it hanging on the wall so you can see the interesting shape. it has wires or plastic tape inside which make the skirt stand out. i bought the jacket just because i needed it to go with the other clothes, but it’s cute - the zipper down the front and the pockets keep it from being too lady-who-lunches.
i am so close to getting a job dudes.
nearing the end of the outfit photos. here, i finally wore the white TBA dress! it makes me look so creepy, like a dead japanese ghost. worn with plain black tights, an H&M belt, and Devastee shoes. i think these shoes might win for my favorite pair at the moment.
i went interview outfit shopping yesterday with lindsay, and picked up some really excellent zara things. for whatever reason, zara seems to have decent stuff again, if you like A) fruit prints, B) prints in general, and C) photo prints. all knock-offs courtesy of prada, stella mccartney, and jil sander. i hope someone knocks off that prada monkey blouse. interview tomorrow, brrrrr. maybe i’ll show you my outfit. linds also brought over her retail math book and i will be cramming that in today. i also have another interview this week, with a probably much more corporate and scary company. DO NOT WANT.

really want these AND/OR some Hasbeens but just going to get a new pair of Worishofers instead, since they are probably more comfortable and are 1/3 the price.
yeah, i have had mixed experiences with rachel comey’s shoes. the heel on my clogs came off, i fixed it but i’m still mad about that.
