should have said before, but these are all old outfits that i forgot to post at the time. today was freezing, despite what i said earlier about the weather being too warm for tights.
this is one of the tackiest things i have worn (maybe? i guess in recent memory but i have a higher threshold for tackiness than most people). rodarte for target denim shorts, celeste stein CAT TIGHTS (ONE OF THE CATS LOOKS LIKE MY CAT HOHOHO), leopard + gold stud oxfords from dolce vita.
i bought some cute socks so maybe you will see those soon. they have galaxies on them! i’m trying generally not to buy things but opening ceremony now has the (overpriced) tsumori chisato striped tights that i really want. :( it’s not gonna happen, but i keep LOOKING at them because i am a sucker. i actually have an interview on monday and a networking event (oh god, please kill me now, seriously, do it) tomorrow, so i need to buy an appropriate interview outfit this weekend. i have a boring and gross ann taylor loft interview outfit which is fine for some jobs but this is a sort of fashion-y job so i need something that is cuter and less horribly cut. someday i will buy a real suit, but it will be an AWESOME and SEXY marlene dietrich style suit, not the terrible abominations you see everywhere on the subway.
what tumblrs should i follow? i’m very bored today.
i’m engaging in this stupid game where every day i try to wear a random thing that i haven’t worn before. like i said before, it’s embarrassing how much crap i have that i never wore. mostly this was a countdown to the last day of work game.
wearing rodarte for target leopard lace dress, topshop crescent tights (these are terrible quality, never buy topshop tights if they are sheer), and asos oxfords.
going to see pj harvey tonight!
another TBA dress, this time velvet and lace. it’s such a pretty color. i usually hate velvet too, i made an exception for this dress.
it isn’t a hugely “flattering” dress but i like it anyway, dammit. i can TWIRL in it! it’s a good alternative to the waist belts and fitted stuff i normally wear and it makes me feel like a little cartoon character.
also wearing sock dreams tights with lots of fun texture and rodarte for repetto oxfords i got from gilt (that is fully hannah’s fault). i am afraid to wear them too often because they are very soft and delicate even though i got soles put on them.
rodarte - one beautiful thing that i know will never be mine.
sometimes those shoes pop up on ebay for $3K, then i cry a little. i would kill for anything from this collection.
just bought these, couldn’t resist. most of the rodarte for OC collection is too western for me - or just wayyyy too expensive. but i have such a weakness for patterned tights.
also i need to wear these again and actually take a picture this time. oh my god i love these tights! i am praying that the rodarte tapestry coat will go on sale so i can actually afford it. seriously, who is buying this collaboration?? who can afford it??
